One of our most favorite recipes to make! It is a great recipe to make in the fall/winter to keep warm and it is also one you can make a big batch of and eat throughout the week! Excellent source of protein!!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/2 diced tomatoes
- 8 oz can of whole kernal corn
- 1/2 diced onion (or sprinkle some minced onion)
- 2 cloves garlic (or sprinkle some minced garlic)
- 8 oz can black beans
- 8 oz can chili or kidney beans
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons of chili powder (or desired amount)
- 1 can tomato sauce
*Cook up the ground turkey and then combine all of the ingredients in a 4 qt saucepan
*Sprinkle a tablespoon of reduced fat cheddar cheese on top if desired
*1 cup is a serving
