Give it Five Minutes

We have all had those moments when we “do not feel like working out.” I have those moments as well! I would rather sleep in, clean the house, do laundry, play with the kids–ANYTHING except go get my workout in. When I found myself doing that, my workout got pushed off later and later and half my day was gone!

I have since found that I love getting up at a REGULAR time early in the morning (schedule it like an appointment) to get my workout done before the kids wake up. I don’t always feel like it but once I am a few minutes into the workout, my energy kicks up (also thanks to E&E drink) and I am pushing hard into my workout. All it takes is a few minutes to get going and it feels GREAT!!

We all have those moments (even us fitness professionals) where we want to make excuses. It all comes down to making the choice to do it!
Having an accountability partner also helps a lot. If you are only accountable to yourself, you may find that you don’t mind if you let yourself down but if you have someone else you have to report to, you won’t want to let them down. Accountability is HUGE, so go find a group or a person that will hold you to it. Heck, I would LOVE to be your accountability partner! Hit me up! 🙂
